Mini Bikes Are Not Toys

After a brief observation of its smaller shapes than a standard motor, mini bikes will looked like toys, but not so with their strength and function. Their size is no more than half the size of motorcycles in general, where it’s common for mini bikes to be called the miniature of that vehicle, but do not underestimate its power because even the cheapest China-made 38 CC mini bicycles are able to run at speeds 25mph. Much faster than an electric bike that is usually only able to run at speeds 10-15mph.
Mini bikes, also known as the mini moto and pocket bikes, mostly use their four stroke engine to give power to their rear tires via chain. Small cheap gasoline engines which commonly used on the yard equipment, such as mower, is the engine that most often used. Some other models use two stroke engine and a few other models equipped with an electric powered engine.
Begin as unused spare parts in the garage owned by racing fans, mini bikes were created. Initially, they are used for bicycle substitute to move around the pit in race track. Mini bikes are very useful for this purpose because those vehicles are able to maneuver very well in the narrow pit road, it only needs a little storage space equal with a small bike, and it is much faster than another type of scooter.
Mini bikes also rapidly expanded their use, particularly because many children want to have a “mini motorcycle” in their homes. The market of mini bikes fan was soon expanded and became a huge industry. Companies engaged in the field of mini bikes also appearing, such as Arctic Cat, Taco, Rup, and others.
Evolved from a means of a transportation method in a race pit, mini bikes evolved into several types of more specific both in terms of form and function. All still oriented at the concept of mini motor. That types are:
- Pocketbike
Pocket Bike is a type that adopted the form of motor racing. This miniature version of the motorcycle Grand Prix has a high of approximately 50 cm and 1 meter long.
- Pit bike
Pitbike is the type that still true to the concept of early minibike which used as a transport vehicle in the pit of a race track. It shaped like miniature versions of motocross. This type is often used for racing.
- Mini Choper
Looks like Choper, but generally still look like pocketbike.
- Midi Motos
Midi Motos type is similar to Pocketbike but with relative larger size.
- Quad Bike
Appropriate with its name, this mini bikes type has a four-wheel drive which used for offroad competition.
Mini bikes though small are intended to be used by adult. So, think twice when you want to buy your children toys.
